About Me

My new short 'Witness' has been accepted by four film festivals so far, and has its world debut in Hollywood this September!

All images within my portfolio were exposed onto film, with medium format equipment.

Most recently these portraits were featured in an exquisite, film-based publication alongside the works of my inspirations. It is the deepest of honors to see this man's portrait next to the photographs by the masters, motivating me that much more to continue upon this path.

I am honored to once again have been included in this esteemed, film-based publication… highlighting the analog and its promoters all over the world. You may click on the image below to be taken to the article… thank you in advance!

It is my privilege to have been selected for an article on this esteemed page, and hope that the stories reach an even larger audience soon. You can view the article by clicking on the image below, an image of a Syrian refugee living as a migrant in Lebanon at the time of her portrait.

Just back from two months in Cuba for the summer, energized after the success of our Prior to my trip to Cuba one year, we presented a campaign on Indiegogo for the ballerinas of Cuba. By clicking on the photograph, you will see the campaign used to fund costumes for the ballerinas on the island. In July of that year they received the costume for this year's photographic collaborations, and realized the true purpose of this work.

A short video is included below as a preview of my work on the island, and features one of these incredible girls!

The TEDx Talk has been posted, please be gentle!

The most recent show featured original silver, fiber prints with 100% of the revenue going to five schools for girls in Rajasthan, India. Should one be interested in a traditional, darkroom print and in learning more regarding this collaboration, I will be more than happy to assist in both. A full viewing of the images has been made available for selection purposes. What better way to purchase art than to support girls for schools at the same time!

My visit to India at the end of last year was an experience unlike any other, seeing the girls sitting down in their classroom once again and writing on the their own chalkboards the lessons for the day. The purpose of these images realized in person cannot be described fully here, only an image of the team making it happen on the ground can be shared.

Welcome to our page,

At first glance, these portraits will look out of place here.

Then one realizes that these people are just as beautiful, just as important as anyone with access to a beautiful camera and a good agent.  Through their portraits, the subjects share their stories with us.

My leaning towards women is based on one fact:  women are the least represented segment in most societies.  Most of my work is from Asia, Africa and the Americas.

This photography has one purpose:  the support of certain non-profit foundations with an emphasis on women and girls.  Links to the various foundations can be found through my website above.

The intention with ModelMayhem is to explore possibilities closer to home.  If you find yourself drawn to these faces and this very specific technique, then you may feel free to share your thoughts with me.

All payments made for my work will go to the foundations.  If it is me contacting you, then your work is on me unless you feel like making a donation for a great cause.

With every penny exchanged for a portrait, a girl on the other side of the world gets access to an education.  My work is purely social in nature and our collaboration will benefit all involved.

For the time being, only female models are being included in this work.  You have my gratitude for your visit.

NOTE:  All images are for sale as photographic prints and will benefit the subjects.  You may follow the link at the top of this page for more information.  All purchases are 100% tax-deductible through my foundation and all images are printed by hand on museum-grade paper in a wet darkroom, processed to archival standards by me, the photographer!

With immense gratitude to my dear brother Patrick, the website can proudly be presented for your review.  You may view other images and gather more information regarding the separate foundations through its pages.  My hope is that you will find the images just as inspiring.
