Let ME be your photography assistant! I want to do this, I'm looking for experience, and yes I'd do it for free until I learned. I also have training in Photoshop, so I can assist digitally as well.

I'm a trained graphic designer and new photographer. I do mostly portraits, but I am looking to expand into art, fantasy, fetish & 'pin-up' photography. Retouching photos is something I really enjoy, and I am very comfortable in Photoshop. I am hoping to learn more about this business through collaborating with/ shadowing the more experienced professionals.

Most of my photos are taken in my house in front of a backdrop, and my lighting usually consists of desk lamps or other lights I drag in from other rooms. The set up is definitely not professional, but I've gotten some fairly decent results. I can't wait to see what i can do when better equipped. My camera is a fairly new acquisition- I purchased a Nikon D90 in October 2008, but due to being buried in school work I was unable to really start to use it until this year. Most of the photos I uploaded were actually taken with my old Pentax or my roommate's Casio, except for the ones dated in 2009.

I am very, very interested in various kinds of art/fantasy photography, and I want to use my photography and my training in Photoshop to make the surreal visions in my head come to life. My ultimate dream: to own my own art photography studio and do freelance graphic design on the side. I also want to travel, and hope to eventually have the means to do so extensively. I've actually started learning Japanese, in the hope of one day photographing my travels in Japan.

Update 2012 - I still would love to learn/do all of the above, but things have gotten a lot more difficult, and my world is of necessity a lot smaller. I have spent the last year or so being very ill, and found out in September 2011 that I have a particularly annoying form of breast cancer. When I beat this hopefully I will finally follow these things through!
