I'm a modelpainter, eager to work with interesting people.

I make large life-size modelpaintings in acryl paint. My style can be described as realistic, however, my goal is show more than just a pretty image. I start painting projects by trying to find a side of the character of the model that is unique, and hardly visible to people that do not know her very well. This uniqueness, that I want to catch. If, and when, the model and I are able to define such a uniqueness to the character of the model, I work with drawings, photo's and whatever is required to create a base for a hopefully stunning painting.

Most paintings will not give a way their meaning to the viewer, it may take some effort to understand them. Perhaps, some will only be understood by the model and the painter, which is fine by me.

Most paintings are made for myself and are not for sale. Some are made in commision. Once a year my new work is shown on an exibition in the big church of Breda, which is one of the largest of the Netherlands. This exibition is a small part of large event which I founded and still organise. It is called the Redhead Days, where ten thousand people with natural red hair from all over the world come to Breda to celebrate art and red hair. I prefer to plan the first drawing sessions at a wednesday, a weekday evening, or in the weekend. I will pay for your travel expenses, and a small fee, and you get a nice charcoal sketch.
