My Name is Steve Norman, and I am a Seattle based painter working mostly with the human form. I paint and draw from live models as often as I can. I am an active artist and show publicly as well as opening up my studio for art walks and private showings by request.

I am formally trained from Olympic College, UW, The school of realist art (now Gage), and lessons from individual artists. I have been drawing and painting from the model for 12 years. My Goals are to improve my understanding of the human form through life studies.

I am interested in models with a professional attitude who have experience posing for a painter, or want to gain experience posing for a painter. This can be grueling compared to posing for photographers, and is not for the faint of heart, or the easily distracted. My sessions usually will last from 2 to 3 hours with plenty of breaks given as our needs require.

I can train new models for the academic setting so you know what to expect on those jobs. I will also trade art for poses if you are interested in owning one of my pieces.

My Studio is based in Pioneer Square Washington. I prefer to meet in public first for your and my safety. I do allow the model to be accompanied by an escort as long as they are quit and non distracting during the session.
