About Me

Monika Spruch grew up in the second largest city in Poland known as Lodz, which is located 100 kilometers from Warsaw and it is famous for fashion and movies and well known for it’s Film School, where Roman Polanski and Krzysztof Zanussi graduated as accomplished filmmakers. Lodz also was the fashion capital of Poland hosting events such as “Interfashion,” the convention for international buyers and sellers in the textile and fashion industry where Monika worked the runways.
While getting her education her passion for films and fashion took over. She was on the train from Lodz to Warsaw everyday going to her agency Look Model Management and she was cast in different projects.
In 1999 Monika received the ‘Model of the Year’ award in Poland and consecutive annual awards in 1999 and 2000 the ‘Mademoiselle Mannequin’ Elite Club Award. Not only fashion but beauty pageants came with many offers and in the Regional Edition of Miss Polonia 1997 she became Miss Foto. Following her dream in acting, her first experience was “The Story of Master Twardowski” by the very popular director Krzysztof Gradowski. Her experience includes pantomime theatre working with the famous Jerzy Moniak where she played Maria Magdalene in “Spektakl,” a story about Jesus Christ. She also discovers a passion for dance in Odoriko Form & Dance Academy in Lodz. Leaving her family and friends she came to Los Angeles, CA knowing very little about the West and having little money and no friends she starts her new journey.
Her first agency in Los Angeles is OTTO Models located on Sunset Blvd. This leads to her first acting experience in a movie called “Heart of Stone” opposite Angie Everheart and she became a SAG member in 2002.
Monika gained great experience working on the set at Paramount Studios on the hit TV series ‘Star Trek Enterprise’ Season 4 as the science division crewman and Stand in for Jolene Blablock in 2003, staying to the end of the show in 2005.
In the meantime she combines her work as a fashion model and graces the runways, magazines and television in Europe and in the United States. She appears on the runway for DKNY, David Cordona, David Rodriguez, Estevan Ramos, Daniel Cantu & Castillo, Elizabetha Rogiani, Eva Varro, Ulrike Couture, Marvyn’s and in print campaigns for Lingerie Bowl, Rider Jeans, M. Millien underwear for Fred Segal, Bio Ionic hair care, San Diego Style Weddings, Electric Barbarella, Monte Carlo Leather, Oro King Jewelry and Malibu Beach beverage.
After “Star Trek Enterprise” which cancelled in 2005, Monika leaves the United States for London, England where she works with Target models International and Models Plus among other agencies.
Two years later she comes back to the States and she decides to attend the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising FIDM. In June 2008 she graduates with her Associate of Arts degree with a major in Beauty Industry Merchandising & Marketing. In gaining from the experience she decides to act again and attends the Ivana Chubbuck
studio and the TVI Actors studio. She also takes private lessons with the famous actress Sally Kirkland and also trains her voice with Gary Catona who works with Whitney Houston, Andrea Bocelli and others.

She believes:
"The road to happiness lies in two simple principles: find what it is that interests you and that you can do well, and when you find it put your whole soul into it - every bit of energy and ambition and natural ability you have."

John D. Rockefeller
