My career began like many others... sitting in my mom's bathroom putting on her red lipstick and as many eyeshadow colors that I could get to fit on my lids. When I was 19 I left college to pursue my makeup artistry career and got my first job working at M.A.C cosmetics, an aspiring makeup artist's dream come true! This is where I obtained most of my knowledge and cosmetic techniques. After eventually leaving M.A.C in order to finish my undergraduate degree I continued my journey through freelance work. In that time I worked on various photo shoots and booked a multitude of events including weddings, holiday parties, costume parties, and taught makeup lessons. Later, I obtained a job working for the cutting edge makeup line Le Metier De Beaute. This is where I gained a large amount of my clientele, however, retail sales was not my passion. I wanted to be able to use my creative abilities to transform others into beautiful pieces of art. I wanted to bring out each persons' individual beauty, and make others feel like their most beautiful versions of themselves. Thus, I went back to freelancing. This is where I am the most happy. While freelancing I have had the opportunity to work with some of the most incredible people. I am currently working out of a new salon in South Denver called Lure Salon and Boutique. While I feel I have an excellent foundation to my career I know that I still have much to learn, therfore I am always looking to collaborate with other artists, photographers, models, etc to expand my skills and knowledge. My hopes are to one day be published in a major fashion magazine and I hope that with the use of Model Mayhem, I can makes this dream come true.
