I'm currently casting for a series of photos I want to do with a couple of different girls, which will be printed in a self-published zine. The concept is based off the phrase "pretty girls don't eat" and each photo shoot will result in 3 photos - one of the model eating some kind of junk/indulgent food (i.e. pizza, burgers, sushi) really messily with their hands full of food, one of the model's face immediately afterwards, and one fashion-style full-length portrait of the model with the leftover smear of food on their face. The zine is going to be called 'Ugly Girls' and the idea is that 'if pretty girls don't eat, then I must be ugly', which is basically a message that refers to the pressures of society, and the expectations of women, with the final fashion-like portrait being a sarcastic nod to the fashion and modelling industry.
I'm just emailing to ask if you would be interested in modelling for this.
I cannot pay you, but as I said the zine will be self-published and I will happily send a copy over to you, and as well as this I will provide you with some delicious junk food on the day!
