Eddie Olmo is a freelance photographer/writer and filmmaker from Williamsburg, Brooklyn. He began his journey into photography when he bought his first DSLR camera back in 2007. He began shooting Sweet Sixteen’s, parties and weddings. So thrilled with the results of his photography he took a self photo titled the “End of Salsa” and sent it out to LatinTrends magazine attached with an article, with the hopes of landing a job as a photographer for the publication. The magazine company loved the article and the picture, but thought the photo was to explicit for them to print so they just printed the article. He continued writing for the magazine and soon afterwards was also sought out as a photographer. Acknowledging the fact that this could be the start of a career change he enrolled in the New York Film Academy (NYFA) to further enhance his skills. At NYFA he took a course in digital Film Making. Eddie has experience with filmmaking, going on to record and edit web shows like the Oshow and Adelante with Arlene. He has interviewed various artists from Frank Reyes to Soledad Obrien. He has photograph many events and stars from all walks of life.
