Though into several styles of photography, I especially enjoy photographing the human element and dramatizing, or finding visual metaphors for, its states and emotions.

(I do the occasional shoot for friendly establishments that are upgrading their Web sites, or for someone creating/updating their personal portfolio.)

I prefer discussing concepts in advance, but am comfortable with improvization when the notice is short.

I have my own portable lighting and can do shoots on location, but also frequently shoot in studios or in just natural light.

San Francisco is one of the great cities for photography and some of my work tries to capture its magic as a setting. Sometimes I shoot in other cities that I travel to.

When working with models and other artists, I do my best to ensure they feel comfortable and that their artistic input is welcomed and valued. Helping realize each other's vision and build each other's portfolio is satisfying.

I am hoping Model Mayhem will make it easier to find and to work with reliable and enthusiastic artists who do modeling, lighting, make-up, costume design, retouching,...

Also hoping to share the joy of everyone's talent and results. There's scope for so much visual enjoyment on MM!
