Having moved to Portland, I'm SUPER stoked to explore this city, advance my career as a singer, mermaid performer & artist, and, as you can see.. to do a little acting & modeling! :D I never knew there WAS such a thing as plus-size, alternative modelling until recently (so I'm just starting out), but I know with a little tenacity, personality, strength and spirit, this is going to be a -great- journey. ^_^

I've modeled for art classes, artists, and of course done a lot of self-portraiture in my own art and photography over the years, but when it comes to modelling for others beyond those arenas, outside of dance performances and mermaid photoshoots, I'm essentially a beginner. (Which is why I put Some Experience. I've got a lot of art, fashion, acting & dance know-how, but simply haven't had the benefit of many OTHERS shooting me, outside of the above arenas.) The pieces you see in my portfolio are allll me (aside from one photo taken by a family friend); meaning I did the hair, makeup, and yes, even shot the photos. (A tripod and a timer are beautiful, beautiful things. ;))

I bellydance, sing, act, appear at events as a mermaid for kids n' adults alike, paint, craft, love fashion.. so pretty much if it's artsy, I'm in. :) Stylistically speaking, I tend toward the more dance, gothic, dark and fetishwear-oriented looks (though I mean that in the leather, lace & latex sense, as I am choosy when it comes to more risqué shoots), but I'm also up for vintage, fashion, and pretty much anything else folks would like to throw my way, as long as it's artful, respectful, and tasteful. I dig corsets, cloaks, wigs bodices, elaborate hair & makeup all the way down to super-simple, classic chic, not to mention cosplay & fantasy themes (and lots, lots more), so if you want someone smart, eager to please and multi-faceted for your shoot, then I'm your girl! :D And finally, when it comes to nudes, suggested nudity or more artsy, meaningful pieces are my pervue. I have no interest in pr0n.) But otherwise, from pin-up to zombie to editorial to cyber elf ghost siren, I'm in! (Thematically speaking. ^_^) Oh yes! And my only piercings are one in each ear, and the only ink I have at the moment is a swirling star in the center of my back. (I aim to get more, but that shall have to happen after I get hired for a few jobs! ;D)

Lastly, I of course know I'm a big girl, and don't necessarily expect to get the same jobs someone 5'8" & 112lbs would get. But I'm not afraid of hard work, emote well, work well under a variety of conditions (hot, cold, rainy, arid), have a well-rounded arts background so I may be able to be a bit more helpful in the way of finding poses and light than some might be in my newbie shoes, and, should the need arise, am stronger, more energetic, and more flexible than you might suspect of a girl my size. ;) I am also moderately visually impaired w/a condition called nystagmus (which makes the eyes dance), but over the years I've learned to work around it (both generally and in my photos), am extremely happy to work w/the photographer to make the best eye contact possible for photos, and after viewing my portfolio, I hope you'll agree- I don't let anything stop me. :)

Now, let's get started on this adventure, so we can make some incredible art together! :D I know Portland is gonna be a great place for me and FULL of opportunities, so I'm eager to get this show on the road! :D
