Originally hailing from behind the Cheddar Curtain (that would be Wisconsin), Matt has been living in the Chicago area since 1997. After nearly five years at Eastman Kodak Company, where he learned film and digital photography side by side, in 1998 he founded and ran DeltaQuest Imaging, the country's first and finest digital portrait lab. He was privileged to work with some of the most talented portrait photographers in the country. While running the lab and photographing his own young kids and their friends he was convinced by a good friend to begin photographing children professionally. Thus, in 2007, Inspired Impressions was born.

After selling the lab in 2010 he continued photographing children in his unique and revealing lifestyle technique. He leveraged his wide base of photographic knowledge, acquired over nearly 20 years in the industry and began photographing a multitude of assignments. The variety of work keeps him fresh. This freshness and vitality is reflected in his images.

In two short years, due to an invaluable collaboration with Stephen Green Photography, Matt has proven himself able to deliver unparalled photographic coverage of large-scale marketing events and live performances. His head shots and corporate portraits consistently deliver a revealing and inviting look at the subject. His passion for for exposing emotion and personality result in images that transport you back to the event itself.

When he's not taking pictures, you'll often find him on a tennis court or watching his amazing daughters as they compete and perform in a wide variety of activities.
