Hi. I'm Meg. I'm about 4 inches short of a 6 foot ape descendent and very new to modeling. I've been told that I should give it a shot, but I always assumed that it was an attempt at a pick-up line of some sort.
Regardless, I have always been fascinated by the human form, particularly the female form. Women are terribly lovely, aren't they?
Unfortunately, most of the associations I'd come to make with modeling were unpleasant, and often included the destruction of the model's humanity in some way or another. The obvious examples would be suicidal diets and a twisted sense of worth, or even just rudely demanding versus compromising.
Though I can't deny that these qualities work for some people, they don't for me. I prefer to be polite and work with people rather than against them, I enjoy nutrition and plenty of exercise, I'm truly thankful for constructive criticism (being mean is a whole 'nother thing), and I think that outer beauty is defined by the inner state of the individual.
Cruelty & "fierceness" sharpen edges, sadness softens lips & cheeks, but a sense of inner peace and joy always brings another alluring quality that is otherwise unattainable. I'm hoping to bring that to modeling.
I've been called a hippie.
Right now I'm interested in building a portfolio and gaining that precious experience. A photographer's time and advice is essential and highly appreciated. I know that there is a lot to learn, and I'm all ears.

To be extremely clear, I am not interested in posing nude or in any sexually explicit situations. If that is not understood, I don't think we'll understand each other, and there is really no point in translating certain matters.
When society gets over this silly business of stigmatizing nudity, even years after the fact, then I would consider interest. That day is not today. :)
Well, I hope this blip is painting a pretty picture of myself. If you, kind reader, would like to get a hold of me, feel free to make contact on here, and we'll see where it goes.
A quick update: I recently moved back to NY, and after this transitional period, definitely look forward to gaining more experience.
