Considering coming out of retirement, looking to book some shoots to update my portfolio.

I will leave my story below. Scroll even further for my shoot information.

I am no longer a model. I recently told a colleague about it and the response was, "Oh, it's usually the photographer.."

Why is it "usually" anything? Why do we have an industry where we, who are working for your benefit, can or maybe even Should expect to have our persons touched without consent, our boundaries pressed, and our professionalism discounted? No one, not even the least professional model, "deserves" to be taken advantage of by another person. Every time we step into a studio, alone, every time we undress to be the subject of your art, we are putting ourselves in a situation that we have to Trust is safe. We can't ever KNOW that it is safe.. and we can't know that once you start pushing boundaries that you will stop if asked. Sometimes "no" is a recipe for violence; this is something we have to think about..
...especially since ModelMayhem does the opposite of supporting us, by banning any "drama llama" who might call out a photographer who has been inappropriate.

Sexual Assault is a horrible thing. It can take a functioning person and cripple them for years, and the amount of time it takes to recover has no direct relationship to the "severity" of the assault. 94% of women who have experienced sexual assault develop symptoms of PTSD during the first two weeks after their trauma - its symptoms are overwhelming, ongoing, and very much the same as the PTSD developed by veterans and people who have been through a disaster. ANY time a person has a sense of imminent, inescapable danger can lead to PTSD. That means that even in cases where no physical harm comes to her, a woman who feels trapped and afraid may develop PTSD.

We models should be able to expect that when we are on a job, that you will maintain your professionalism, that we will be safe, and that our interactions with you will observe the boundaries present in any working environment, or between two strangers. The faces we make for the camera are not for YOU and our nakedness is not permission.

Do not push, do not attempt to persuade or manipulate. Be a decent fucking human being.

I was manipulated. I felt trapped. I was afraid...and I'm saying goodbye. I wish I hadn't been forced into retirement, but I can't do this anymore; my PTSD won't let me.

Hi!  I'm Rose.

I am 5' 5'' with a slender build.  I have a background in modeling for artists and am a professional fusion belly dancer. In my time as an art model, I developed a deep awareness of the way that my body looks in various poses and from different angles; I have spent a lot of time finding poses that look interesting and beautiful on my own body.  Additionally, I have a good understanding of light and how it falls across my body as I'm posing.  I am dependable, professional, and easy to work with; I need very little direction.  Dancing has taught me to pose my hands artfully.  Some of the adjectives that have been used to describe me/my poses/dimensions are elegant, classical, and dynamic.

I am currently looking to build up a portfolio that reflects the recent changes to my look. The current vibe that I give off is hippy/nature child/witch. I have a tattoo on my side and dreads with beads.
While I am mostly looking to fill out my own book right now, I am a talented model, and I will prioritize paid work. I am also a student and do not have unlimited time. I do schedule limited pure TF shoots when I feel the photographer's work would enhance my portfolio, so if you feel you have something unique to offer, please reach out. I am always interested in artistic concepts and team-based fashion- and art- type projects.  See my "List" below for some ideas.

I am NOT interested in any fetish modeling at this time. 


My requirements for shoots are not many, but they are as follows:

-I am currently NOT shooting nudes.

-I will not be touched by anyone without first being asked for and giving consent.

- I will bring someone with me - my escort is a model and knows how to behave in the studio setting, as such I can assure you that there will not be any problems. My escort will be allowed *in the room where the shoot is taking place*  If you have concerns about escorts, I would be happy to address them in whatever way possible.  All of the photos in my portfolio were taken with an escort present. THIS IS STILL TRUE EVEN IF I AM NOT SHOOTING NUDE.

- I don't participate in any activities that could get me into legal trouble - that includes shooting in abandoned locations (breaking and entering) and outdoor nudes in public locations (public nudity).  Exceptions may be made if the location has been vetted and is FAR off the beaten track.  However, I may be willing to shoot outdoor nudes in places where we have been granted permission by a property owner... so go make friends with a farmer


Some notes on my physique:
- The age listed on my profile is the low end of my "apparent age range"  I am older, but I have a flexible look and can appear either innocent and young, or mature/sexy.  And a polite person never asks a lady her age
- My hair is no longer as it appears in my photos. It is currently about half of that length, and has a hippy boho dreads with beads look.
- Though the ''native'' color of my hair is dark blonde / light brown, it can appear almost golden or reddish if I'm surrounded by the correct colors or lighting conditions.  (Not dyed or permed).  It often becomes blonder in the spring and summer.
- I do have both ears pierced twice on the lobes, and a navel piercing, but I will happily remove any or all of my jewelry at your request.
- I have a medium sized tattoo on my left side, just above the hipbone, and I plan to get more.
