About Me

I started making jewelry about thirteen years ago. At the time, I kept envisioning the kind of jewelry I wanted to wear, but could never find comparable items in stores. This unmet desire was the impetus behind my decision to take jewelry classes. After many years of learning and experimenting with different techniques, I now teach others to make their own jewelry. My techniques include basic stringing, wire wrapping, wire crochet, soldering/metalworking, polymer clay bead/pendant sculpting, bead weaving, paper bead making and glass fusing. My favorite materials are semi-precious stones, polymer clay, and recycled odds and ends.

The world provides me with endless inspiration and I create everything by hand. I love to make funky baubles that don't take themselves too seriously. My hope is that these weird looks will be worn by funky girls (or boys) who don't take themselves too seriously either.

My reason for joining model mayhem is that I want to make my work available for photo shoot and fashion show rentals. I can also work cooperatively with fashion designers to create custom pieces.
