My name is Tomas Aponte and I am a native of Worcester, Massachusetts. I recently just graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. At UMass, I double majored in Dance and English with a concentration in Secondary Education. My interest in dance and the performing arts was sparked from my enrollement in the Burncoat Dance Department. During my time as a member of a performing arts school, I was exposed to different styles of dance such as Jazz, Musical Theater, Modern, Hip-Hop, Lyrical, and Contemporary. Dance in an academia setting has provided me with advanced level training in Jazz, Ballet, Modern, Improvisation, and Composition. Each of the courses taken throughout my journey with dance have had a huge influence on the artist I am now. Along the way, I was able to work with various photographers to help them capture pictures and moments for their portfolios. Through these experiences, I have developed an interest in modeling for photographers and maintaining a strong up to date folder with pictures of me for future use in my dance career!
