Hello,

My name is Mike and I've been making photographs for thirty years.

I've done landscapes, shows, concerts, flowers and a few weddings too--won a contest here and there.

With no formal photography education, I ordered a camera and enlarger (and paper and chemicals) from Sears and taught myself both to shoot and make prints with only the guidance provided by the user manuals and package inserts.

The years have seen me, like most everyone, migrate from 35mm film to Medium Format and then on to digital.

Now, armed with all sorts of equipment and programs --which I thoroughly enjoy-- I find myself back at the beginning.

Armed with a new to me Minolta Maxxum 9 and the legendary 85mm 1.4 lens it's my hope to, as far as possible, reintroduce a generation consumed with selfies to the beauty, style and glamour of low speed film classics such as Adox and --yes-- Velvia :) (It's all about thte eyes with Velvia.)

So, that brings me to Model Mayhem.
