Hi fellow models and artists,
Thank you for visiting my portfolio. I’m currently based in San Diego, Ca. but I travel from time to time to other parts of the US (mainly South Florida and the Midwest).
A little about me and my current photography-related goals:

My background is primarily in sports and event photography (mainly surfing, sports, and music shows these days, but I also like to shoot everything from land and cityscapes, to local happenings wherever I happen to be.)

I’ve recently rekindled an interest in model photography, having experimented with it a little in the past. I’ve found I really enjoy engaging with people and meeting personalities from all walks of life while shooting, and so I’m hoping to develop my portfolio further in that area these next few years. I also enjoy the technical aspects of digital photography as well as challenging myself by shooting in different and unpredictable environments. Overall, I strive to bring a high degree of professionalism and creativity to all of my shoots and creative projects, regardless of subject matter.

Having an academic background in Art History and Visual Culture (I also like to paint and do illustration work during my spare time), my artistic influences span a range of different styles, from the early black and white works of the French (Nadar and Brassai easily come to mind), to more modern luminaries like Walker Evans, Diane Arbus, and Irving Penn, to name a few. I also strive to infuse my work with contemporary touches - references to modern media and culture - always looking to the past as an invaluable resource while staying fully open to the present.
