I look to capture simple but profound portraits.

I believe that beauty is an end in itself, and that we become happier when we create and surround ourselves with it.

My preferred medium to reach that goal is black and white film, because it allows me to focus on the human body’s beautiful lines and curves with minimal distractions. I shoot mostly Fomapan film in both 35mm and Medium Format, and I develop and print in my own darkroom.

For digital, I use a Canon full-frame camera, and keep my color palettes bright but analogous as possible. I print on Canson (yes, with an “S”) fibre inkjet papers with archival pigment ink. There is *nothing* like seeing a good print hanging on the wall.

Currently, I have two projects I am working on:

The first is a series of fully analog B&W boudoir-style portraits (35mm film and 5x7 darkroom prints on cotton rag paper for eventual exposition - you can see several here on my MM profile);

The second is a digital series envisioned to capture the various ways we speak with our hands. As this is mostly still in the conceptual phase, I do not have any examples uploaded yet.
