Hi and welcome to my Model Mayhem Portfolio.  My name is Kris Scalzo and I am a photographer from New Berlin, Wisconsin.  My goal is to allow others to see images I have taken and enjoy them as much as I did when I was taking them. 

My love of photography started back in the late 1970 and 80’s shooting Indy cars.  Mostly I shot for myself and was able to get quite a few autographed.  I have sold a few of the autographed pictures over the years. After joining my local municipal fire Department in 1980, I also shot pictures for the department, the City parades, and other special occasions.  I retired from the fire service in March of 2017.

In 2005, I was introduced to fashion, head shots, portraits, pin-Ups, both impied nudes, and nudes while taking a class put on by a fantastic local photographer.  I was hooked.  I learned a great deal from working with Jamie, Craig, David, and Brian at Becker Studio & Photography (BSP).  When Jamie shut down the Studio, I hooked up with a group of photographers at MLP Studios and Studio 13 in Racine.  I was sadden when in December of 2019, Studio 13 closed its doors as the landowner was going to demolish the old building and replace them with low income housing.

In June of 2014 some life issues and time constraints caused me to put my camera down for a while to take care of my family and myself.

In 2019 I decided to rekindle my passion.  I have attended multiple photography conventions and events, such as Shutterfest in St Louis and ClickCon in Chicago.  My wish is to get back and shoot on a regular basis again.

Currently I am searching for some affordable studio space.  I am constantly trying to improve my skills to be a better photographer every time I shoot.  I have had the privilege to take pictures of several great models and want a place that will allow me to show what we as a collective group are capable of.

This site will allow me to show my portfolio to the world.  The sky is the limit.
