MM’s Priscilla Caripan in FHM

Model: Priscilla Caripan; Photographer: Eikona

Congratulations to Model Mayhem’s Priscilla Caripan on her recent 6-page feature in FHM Czech Republic. Eikona shot the photos. Priscilla was previously mentioned in Model Mayhem modeling news roundup 31 for her feature in Maxim en Español. We wish her all the best!

Ana Braga’s magazine column – Ana’s Voice

Model: Ana Braga

Congratulations to Model Mayhem’s Ana Braga on her continued success. This time, her column, called Ana’s Voice, has come out in Modelsmania magazine. Ana has been mentioned in many of the previous Model Mayhem Modeling News Roundups. She is a beautiful model in addition to being very driven. We look forward to seeing more features from Ana.

MM Aubrey featured in David Kassan’s signature series

Model: Aubrey

Model Mayhem’s Aubrey is once again in the public eye. This time, she’s featured on the package of the David Kassan Limited Edition Signature Drawing Set, and the poster-sized tutorial that comes with it. The ad for this set is also running in several art magazines. Besides being a fine art photography model, she is an accomplished life drawing and figure model who has posed for schools and private artists for over ten years.

Body doubles for supermodels

Did you know that even supermodels use body doubles? According to this Fox News article, supermodels like Cindy Crawford and Adriana Lima, as well as celebrities like Christina Ricci and Rachel Bilson have used body doubles. Basically, to be able to make money as a model, you do not need to be 100 percent perfect, although it helps if you want to go mainstream. Seeing as there are not that many “perfect people,” except for the very few who become supermodels, the best thing an aspiring model can do is find out which of her body parts is the most marketable and try to capitalize on that.

Vogue China apologizes for using an underage model

Do you recall when Vogue banned the use of underage models in their international editions? Well, it looks like Vogue China didn’t get the memo:  The magazine recently featured 15-year-old Ondria Hardin in an article about up-and-coming models in their August issue, according to this RT article. China Vogue editor Angelica Cheung described the incident as a mistake and publicly apologized. From now on, models (and their agencies) will be required to provide proof of age before they can be booked to shoot a spread for Vogue. However, Vogue will still publish photos of younger models in their children’s sections, but the models will be dressed appropriately for their age.
