Congratulations to Model Mayhem’s Melissa Drew and Cutthroat Kristina on their recent feature in The Cat’s Meow Magazine’s Halloween issue. Photo credit goes to Heather Graves Photography, and Gabriela Nevarez did both the make-up and hair. Melissa and Kristina have also both been selected to be official models for Atomic Ave Clothing Company. They work together very well and they are both great models!
MM’s Glamour Jessica featured in Flava Girl Magazine
Congratulations to Model Mayhem’s Glamour Jessica on her recent feature in Flava Girl Magazine’s October/November issue. Jessica is also currently featured as the “hot chick of the day” for Nitro Blitz Magazine. Here is what she had to say about modeling, being published and a few words of advice to aspiring models: “I wish all the best to the aspiring models out there. Follow your dreams, but do your homework and research about the industry. And know where you fit in with your look. Create a strong portfolio with professional photographers. Be kind to others and network. It is best to have business cards, composite cards, and resumes with you at all times. I have them both in my portfolio and purse. Know your self-worth and enjoy the process.”

Model Mayhem’s Amber Reynne has another feature, but this time it is in the September/October issue of Bizsu Magazine. She is a beautiful model, who specializes in fitness, glamour, lingerie promotional and swimwear modeling. We wish Amber continued success in the modeling industry and we look forward to seeing more of her features!
MM’s Leticia Farr is going far!
A big congratulations to Model Mayhem’s Leticia Farr on yet another feature. This time she is in the November 2012 issue of MMA Uncaged Magazine, where every month she will interview some of the top UFC fighters. Leticia has made major progress in her modeling career in a very short period of time and she is only going to get bigger!
Cindy Crawford’s fashionable daughter
There is no doubt that supermodel Cindy Crawford’s daughter, Kaia, wants to be like her mother when she grows up. This Daily Mail article highlights a few photos where young Kaia is attempting to copy her mother’s wardrobe. There is no doubt that the 11-year-old is beautiful, especially since her mother is a supermodel. Kaia has also done her own successful modeling adverting campaigns and “the camera loves her,” according to the article. Her most notable campaign was with Versace. Even though she is a great model, her mother wants her to wait before entering this industry because she understands all the negatives that go along with having a modeling career.
Big changes in the modeling industry
According to this Star Pulse article, the development and popularity of social media has been the main reason for some of the drastic changes that are happening in the modeling industry over the last few years. Sites like Facebook and Twitter influence the way that companies communicate and more and more companies are taking care to listen to what their followers are trying to tell them when it comes to selecting models for their campaigns. For example, many big companies are now hosting online contests through sites like Facebook where they give modeling contracts to women who do not fit the traditional modeling requirements for height and weight as long as their photo submission gets the most votes or likes. Also, we have seen magazines like Vogue opt for curvier models like Kate Upton. Do you feel that one day the “industry standards” will completely change or disappear?
