How to Add Makeup in Photoshop

In this video, I focus on adding makeup effects to your photos. You will learn how to add blush, eye shadow, eye lashes, and lipstick. Adding digital makeup is a relatively simple process, which involves creating multiple layers, manipulating your photo’s color saturation, and applying different shades of color with your paint brush tool.

I don’t know what popping noise you are hearing, I was not eating or chewing on anything.

What you are hearing is the sound the wacom pen makes when I click.

Thanks for posting this. I don’t usually want to do this much retouching, but it’s nice to know how to do it. I appreciate the time and effort you put into it.

    Hi Angela,

I think you should mention a disclaimer somewhere that the work of the real and talented makeup artist should NOT be undermined. I consider this tutorial to be a last-minute fix when you (obviously) cannot assemble the team together. I don’t want the tutorial to convey, “Hey! Who needs make-up artists when we could do makeup in post?” Please keep up the great work. —Ron.

Yeah I completely agree, I use makeup artist 99% of the time  and this is just used as a last minute fix if for some strange reason one is not available. Maybe I will put an annotation on there. Thanks

I doubt Adobe would be too thrilled that you are using their trademark & copyrighted artwork as you are not affiliated with Adobe Products.

I’m not using Adobe trademark or artwork the only thing shown in my video is the Photoshop Program being used (interface) There are plenty of DVD’s out that are commercially sold using the adobe Photoshop interface on them and this is a free video.

Adobe encourages tutorial-makers using their applications. It spreads knowledge and hypes their product(s).

    Copy lips to new layer
    Lightly blend edges/feather
    Use layers/opacity, like your recommending
Apply reflected linear/radial gradient with colors of choice (adjusting lighting)
    Add reflections and highlights

    = Insanely beautiful makeup 🙂
