Lena Artis

Hello all, My name Is Lena  Artis. Since Lena was used already, i had to use my middle name... but by all means call me Lena. I am also known online by the name rosie2ya.


I was born in Germany{Frankfurt},reside in St. Louis Missouri.  [b]I leave race under other; I really don't think it should matter what  your race is, whether be in a conversation, description, etc.. unless stated that you have to know.[b]

I've done the college tour{ some of you have done also... attend different colleges} I only went to 3.. lol!

[b]Dance.....[b]
      Dance was my first love(although I was introduced to acting as well as many young children) I was first in ballet, done the summer programs with top dancers(way back in the day...) I switched to modern dance, I loved the feeling of being able to use various movement, and expressing this amongst the viewers..{ My mentors then were catherine dunham, alvin ailey} I got into choreography at a vary young age, and conducted my first piece with a sports program I was involved with every summer. Next entering highschool, I became involved in the hip hop scene(discovering cable and videos).{ during this time,  Fatima Robinson became new role model} Started being involved in dance groups and forming my own group, performed in various talent shows.. battles at various teen clubs;performed background for a few local dancers back then.. choreographed as well.
As you can see this was my love. My only problem was  druing that time it was a decision of college or dance; and when you have a mother paying for school, you already know what the decision was. I conitnuted to dance at most of the colleges I attended, but my love faded well put on hold, I saw that the market  in those select southern states weren't looking for dancers..

[b]Styling...
   Actually I didn't think much of it, I didn't know that people can actually make a career out of this  passion..
I had a publisher of a well known mag. contact myself about seeing my work, but you guyessed it right.. no portfolio.
I have been approached numerous of times upon seeing my work and  loving my ideas, and styles that I choose for myself and others.. But I didn't know about using a portfolio for this.
I always had to have this idea that my idea and clothing choices had to be ahead of the next, as with any stylist..
This is something I do want to  use in the near future.. along with my best friend, we will come together and start with a mini stylist team!

[b]Modeling...[b]
   Well, hmmm.. I never thought of modeling, I imaged someone 5'10+ for this venue. I was approached by some individuals and started taking photos, and got quite a few work from those few photos.. I saw that everyone can model just various forms, as was taught by(trying to get my hand in being a agent which I will take on in the near future). Who would of thought that some individuals would see a creative vision from someone that is only 5'2"..

I love taking photos, but one problem is that in the midwest, there is not a hge market in modeling;unless you are doing high fashion in chicago.
Another thing was that I ran across many negative as well as positive individuals;let's just say thank god positivity out weighed negativity.
I also saw myself in one main vision; when I am very diverse in my style, mind etc.. I am versitile and would love to see this out on the camera

[b]ACTING..![b]
[b]THIS IS IT![b] I believe with all things incorporated, and with training, I will pursue this dream "It is more than a dream when you rather do acting rather than think of a 9-5 job." I have been networking and getting with positive connects, this will happen.  I don't want to be like the many that I have heard about, that decide that they want to pursue somthing and  are not prepared, nor have any connections. Most (and I know a few) have very good grocery store jobs, and are homeless, in california. To each their own, but I want to be prepared and when I come up; already tell whom I am coming so they can let their people know and  we can get the ball rolling.
Every one crawls, and struggles.. I expect this, but I believe with faith  all things can happen. So far I have done a local commercial, extra work... other than that being in a small market for film is pretty hard..

[b]I am a very creative individual,very assertive,punctual,humble. I am always willing to take risks "out of box" mind. With this diversity, I love differet looks... so experimentaion is always good.[b]

Looking for a creative, diverse style.. versitile! I love the work I have done, but there is another side to myself.
