About Me

Important Notice
Due to a long term illness - I am not currently active - the profile has been updated to give me something to do and to set up opportunities for when I have recovered..

My Story
I’m a semi-pro photographer based in Melbourne, Australia who has been taking photo’s as a hobby for over twenty years, and as a semi-pro for the last four to five years.

I look forward to working with different people and personalities in this field. So if you are interested in working together, please get in touch. I’m keen to meet some like minded people here - especially people who are into experimenting and pushing the limits, who like the cutting edge, creating something bold, something daring and fun. I am keen to try out ideas - regardless of how mundane or wacky.

Feel free to contact me via MSN, or via eMail at the same address.

About Me as Me and a photographer
Why I photograph and I'm here
Photography is my passion. Since it's too expensive for me to sculpt - this is a way of expressing my artistic side, and it's what I love to do. I enjoy the challenge of capturing a fleeting moment.

I am mostly self-taught and I like pushing myself with my photography. I recently decided to expand my repertoire to focus on and encompass the realm of model photography for the purposes of rounding out and completing my portfolio and experience.

My primary aim (besides having fun!) is to produce the gallery projects which have been floating around in my head and haunting my visions when I close my eyes.

I don't have overpowering visions of grandeur or world domination.
This means that I believe the shoots are a collaborative effort. You're allowed, encouraged and requested to give input into the shoot.

I'm not gay, not single and not *ophobic.
So, I basically have no ulterior motives to get you to shoot or not get you to shoot with me. I have no issues with any model nor with any style of shot they might want.

I am very laid back, flexible and aim to always enjoy what I am  doing
I'm energetic, funny and probably more than a little crazy, but that's what makes me so much fun smile If you're not having fun then you're either not doing it right or doing the wrong thing!  During a session, I want to ensure that you're as laid back and comfortable as possible, and I will always try to provide the atmosphere to ensure that occurs.

Models
I don't need you to be an experienced model nor have won some magazine or nightclub promotional competition.

I do need you to be willing to :
have fun.
be imaginative.
be willing to stretch your limits.
work on your craft.
commit to a project.
be professional.

I am always looking for creative/imaginative and most importantly, unique people to work with. I have my own ideas, but if you already have a concept you want to shoot please send me a note and we will see how we can work on the concept to give it life.

The how I do it part
I insist on meeting the people I will work with in advance. Usually this means a coffee somewhere, where we can meet and greet. This allows both of us to get comfortable with each other and begin discussing what we each expect out of the session. Following this meeting, we will then begin to organise the sessions themselves.

Of Escorts and Fiends
I have no issue with Escorts. If they are fun, keep out of the way when we're working, be willing to subject themselves to being shot and generally can make themselves useful, they are more than welcome.

However, if your escort is likely to be disruptive, controlling, jealous or a downright pain in the a$$, then they will be asked to leave. If you have an issue with that, then you will also be asked to leave.

On Professionalism
It doesn't matter if you've never had a shoot before nor if you've completed your 1000th - I expect you to treat me and anyone else involved in a session with the same level of respect and professionalism that you would expect in return.

Professionalism isn't just a on-set attribute either. Your actions prior to a session are just as important.  If you are contacting me, you will not be laying everything on my lap - if I don't hear from you after returning your interest, then I won't bother with a follow up, nor any casting calls in future.

Availability and TFP

“Time for Prints” (TFP) and/or “Time For CD” (TFCD) work is welcome on a case by case basis. I may also offer TFP/TFCD work while I'm experimenting with ideas. As always, arrangements can be discussed and agreed to as required.

Also, I am always happy for anyone to contact me to ask a question, get advice, or simply to chat - and you can do so via MSN, Yahoo, ICQ, eMail or via MM. Please be aware that I will never contact you via any of these methods until you have added me to your contacts first. If I want to contact you first, it will always be via MM first.
