Hey ya'll.

After 3 days of tearing through the forums, waiting for my profile to be approved, I've arrived.

Make way.

Just kidding, of course.

Just wanted to stop in, say hi and introduce myself.  Hi.

I'm G.Lue and I'm (attempting to be) a Photographer.  (Admitting you have a problem is the first step.)

I've been snapping pictures since I was 8, but I've decided to start taking photographs.  I'm very excited to join this community and meet with MUAs, Models, Wardrobe Designers and other Photographers.

I'd like to expand my skills and knowledge and I'm open to advice (good and bad.)  I'm in the Orlando-ish/Tampa-ish/Miami-ish/Florida-ish area, if anyone wants to organize something and needs an extra pair of hands, or an upstart photographer, send me a message.  I've got a light kit I've been dying to put to use.

And King Waitt\(MM God) probably knows I need the practice. (parenthesis)

Edit: I'm aware that GWC is basically a perv with a camera.  I may be one or the other, occasionally, but never both at the same time.

I'm aware of the connotation of GWC.  I was using it in humor.  If you can't laugh at yourself, you can't take yourself seriously either.

You guys hopped on that quick.  Thanks for the speedy responses.

They made me for work.  I also have some aerial photos from that event.  (Talking to those girls while taking their picture helped me learn that I have NO clue how to give direction.)

I worked with a GWC  once.  He said he would make me a star, and I had to do was take off my top.  Now all I have are my nine polaroids and fifty bucks.  Oh my bare bossoms

I don't do nude work.  I wouldn't feel comfortable.

And I think I would probably even have a hard time with a bikini, to be honest.

And...

Wouldn't a polaroid camera be a dead give away?

Fair enough, those are pretty awesome.

I actually had a teacher who used to use polaroids to test his lighting (before the days of digital cameras).  Some of the results are pretty good, if it weren't for the small size, and limited reproduction.

It's pretty standard w/ medium format film use.

Polaroids can be enlarged (though I haven't done that yet) and they have some fairly large polaroid cameras, the largest standard size is 4 x 5.  smile  Of course, those are like $3.00 per shot.  yikes
