Wow, there are so many good ones...

I really like (and use) Ben Nye's Translucent powder.  You can get it for a great price in an amazingly large container, and then just refill a smaller shaker for your kit.

I also like Bobbi Browns Pale Yellow, but it's really comparable to BN's Banana...which is also WAY more inexpensive anyway.

Not crazy about Shiseido's...to thin or lightweight or something.

A good rule though is to blot before touching up with the powder.  Less is still more, even w/ the translucent ones.

There are two I swear by for absolutely everyone under the sun, from the lightest of the light to the darkest of dark: Ben Nye's Neutral Setting Powder and Cinema Secret's No Colour Powder. The Cinema Secrets one is half rice starch, half talc so I save that for the super-oily types.

Completely honestly.

A model's skin can look FUGLY with concealer, corrector, foundation, powder etc on, but when I put N.Y.C brand translucent powder on with a kabuki, her skin goes FLAWLESS.

2.99$ over 30$ anyday, especially if the product works.

Liz, how do you like the Coverfx powder??  I've never used it, but I like their liquid foundations a lot.

I use the MAC pro traslucent powder (looks white).  But when that's done I'm going to try something else...not sure what yet but keep posting and I'll pick one.

Very good post btw smile

definitely Ben Nye. I've got it in fair, white and colorless and it's awesome for both video and print, even on my more oily faces. smile

TEMPTU no color...Ciinema Secrets ...and rice powder... and for some reason I adore Bare Minerals MATTE Mineral Veil... I use the Mineral Veil on myself with some concealer for daily use.  It makes my pores totally disappear.  I only use the matte version.

I use Face Atelier translucent loose and MAC Invisible setting powder.

Thanks Lisa, for the 411 on the Mineral Veil. I hate the regular Bare Minerals powders, they make my pores look like man-hole covers. Apparently this is quite different. Off to Sephora I go to check it out. Sounds like a must try if not a must -have.

I use the translucent loose powder from Kryolan and I love it!!! It does a great silky finish and it looks very natural on the skin.

I use this also but i recently ordered a big 141gm tub of graftobian one for £7.10 which since using it seems to be practically the same product. So its well worth paying less and just filling up the smaller kryolan pot.

Anyone know of a powder (not neccesarily translucent..) that's similar to Bobbi Brown's "Golden"?

I think that Ben Nye's Banana is really comparable to her Pale Yellow, but I can't find an alternative to Golden...

I use Erno Laszlo's loose powder (Marilyn Monroe used it too) and I haven't found a face it doesn't set or improve.
