...Ringflash Adapter For Nikon SB800 Oct 04 07 02:09 pm Link Where the hell do I get one!!!!!! Oct 04 07 02:29 pm Link Wait this stuff looks like Canon equipment! Oct 04 07 02:30 pm Link Hah, it was only a matter of time until something like this came out. Cool, but you could make a homemade one for super cheap if you really wanted to. Oct 04 07 02:33 pm Link what's a tog? Oct 04 07 03:02 pm Link short for photographer James Jackson wrote: Oct 04 07 03:04 pm Link I have just found this http://www.flickr.com/photos/jedrek/239141592/ this one was not as good http://mytymyky.blogspot.com/2007_05_01_archive.html and i've just been to my local £1 shop and spent £5. I have the gaffer tape (duct for the yanks) already. Wish me luck! Oct 04 07 03:06 pm Link I saw a review of them. The light from the flashgun enters at the top, and there is significant falloff at the bottom of the ring, so the light isnt very even. Its cheaper than a ringflash, and can give some good effects on a budget, but its still very expensive for some plastic with a reflective coating inside. Oct 04 07 03:14 pm Link Also meant to say, it blocks the flashguns AF assist. Oct 04 07 03:16 pm Link only issue I would have with that is the amount of light is still very biased to one side unless the construction spreads the light out really well (less reflective up top, more on the bottom, but you lose a lot of total light there). Probably best to use a 580ex or sb800 or anything really strong with manual mode for this. Oct 04 07 03:32 pm Link well as illustrated, you prob really should only use it in manual senarios. Is this a third party thing, and they make them for all brands or what. Oct 04 07 04:01 pm Link ok, really? I don't know, how different is duct to gaffer tape? Jairo Cruz wrote: Oct 04 07 04:34 pm Link They have made them for Canon and Nikon but the Nikon one should now be available. Having used both (and they are absolutely different) I'd rather use gaffers tape than duct tape. Duct tape is severely destructive and is designed never to be removed. Oct 04 07 05:22 pm Link You F'n TOG! I'm better than you. Yeah, it is a little condescending. Oct 04 07 05:24 pm Link P'ograp Think that would be more appropriate.
