Hah, it was only a matter of time until something like this came out.  Cool, but you could make a homemade one for super cheap if you really wanted to.

I saw a review of them.
The light from the flashgun enters at the top, and there is significant falloff at the bottom of the ring, so the light isnt very even.
Its cheaper than a ringflash, and can give some good effects on a budget, but its still very expensive for some plastic with a reflective coating inside.

only issue I would have with that is the amount of light is still very biased to one side unless the construction spreads the light out really well  (less reflective up top, more on the bottom, but you lose a lot of total light there).

Probably best to use a 580ex or sb800 or anything really strong with manual mode for this.

well as illustrated, you prob really should only use it in manual senarios.

They have made them for Canon and Nikon but the Nikon one should now be available.

I think gaffers tend to be a fabric tape that isn't supremely adhesive until it settles down for a little.

Duct tape is evil salamander like sticky goodness.

I dunno man.  Having used both (and they are absolutely different) I'd rather use gaffers tape than duct tape.  Duct tape is severely destructive and is designed never to be removed.

Gaffers tape is highly adhesive, but leaves no residue, unlike duct tape.

I think it is short for:  "I am too lazy to say photographer."  Some people don't realize that, not only is it not an acceptable shortcut, many people find the term condescending.

Actually I think a tog is a type of measurement.

Well, GWC is much easier to type, and you don't have to worry about spelling it wrong (unless you're a complete dumbass...)

And if you spell it wrong it just sustains that you are, indeed a GWC.

It sale quite well in the UK. Do a google search Warehouse Express, you will see it on sale.
It's a clever device uses round mirrors to reflect  a ring of light.

It comes in two fitting Nikon SB80 I think, & Canon 580EX not the mark 2. I was thinking of getting one, would love to see some photos taken with this device.
