Hi, does anyone have any suggesting for marketing yourself to Brides?

Websites and biz cards. You can also find bridal directoies and pay for an AD. Leave your cards in bridal stores, portrait shops, spa's and anywhere else that majority of women go to.

Put free ads on craigslist,
network, print brochures off the computer...Microsoft has a great program for that.

I've networked with salons, florists, caterers (hotel, restaurant, private), wedding planners, bridal boutiques, etc.

I try to work out a nice reciprocal deal with them and hope for the best.  So far it's worked out very nicely (it's made me enough money to move to NYC in May).

Julie, without telling us your trade secrets...smile  Could you go into a little more detail as in how you work a deal with the other vendors?  Is it word of mouth to brides about other vendor services or some other thing?  Curious!

Alot of it is word of mouth, but one must also put in some money as far as advertising to really make some money. Maybe in your part of the country it is a little different, but in really populated places with lots of makeup aritsts, you must stay competitive and there is only so much "free" marketing you can do.

No big secret Lisa.  I collect these people, create teams and make sure that everyone gets something out of the deal (referrals, pictures, etc.)
Photographers want shots of great looking brides for their advertising...beautiful makeup, dress, flowers, location.
Florists, Boutiques and caterers want shots of great looking brides for their advertising also.
Wedding planners want teams of talented people they can trust to produce beautiful brides...it makes them look good.

How great is it to show a future bride a gorgeous picture and then let her know you can hook her up with the photographer, boutique, location, wedding planner, etc. that were used to create that shot.
The rest of the team does the same thing, so you get referrals from them.

See how this all works?

I've shied  away from using craigslist. I've gotten most of my 'flakey' and bargain hunting clients from there. Not that they don't exist elsewhere, but craigslist is definitely my last resort.
