Hi im Jen. I grew up in a very small town of 300 people in Alaska and had the best up bringing. I was raised on fishing, 4 wheelers, snow machines, hiking, biking, kayaking, track and field, and def. basketball!! had one junior high through highschool boyfriend whom i still stay in contact with and he is still my best friend. My parents are the idols of my life and I strive to be like them. They have been married for over 30 years. I value families that have parents that are still together and I think that It really makes the person. My father is the only town Doctor and my mother helps him out in the Clinic. My mother received her degree at UC Berkeley back in the 70's. She loves to say that "she was there". My father completed his undergrad and played sports at Notre Dame when it was an all boys school, completed his medical degree at Creighton, and qualified for the '69 olympics in skiing. He is still practicing back in small town AK at the age of 65 (looks like hes 50) and has no desire to retire. He always tells me to find a career that you love to do and that the money shouldn't matter. I'm trying to accomplish some of what he has done but I think the Olympics might be a tough one :). I have one brother who got married a few years ago to an awesome girl he went to high school with and now they have migrated to Minnesota, another deadly cold state. Although, the colder the state the more normal the people are. My last two years of High School i went to Anchorage to play basketball then went to University of the Pacific in Stockton, CA to do the same thing. I started the sports science degree because medicine is in my family and I have a love for it. My junior year I added psychology and double majored in 2004. I moved to Las Vegas to pursue grad school, purchase real estate, and receive a good income while living in this crazy city. I have now moved on from Las Vegas to Orange County, Ca. I am finishing my Masters degree here in California and applying to a doctorate program in neuropsychology. I love the weather down here. The people are a lot friendlier than in Vegas, but nothing compares to back home :):) Miss you mom and dad.
