Bwalya is a Professional Beauty and Special effects MakeUp Artist based in New York and New Jersey. Her goal is to enrich the lives or every person she comes in contact with.
Within the past 10 years Bwalya has worked as a beauty advisor for Elizabeth Arden, Fashion Fair, Derma Blend, Paula Dorf, Pur minerals, Shishedo and freelanced for MAC Cosmetics . In 2010, She was the Head MakeUp Artist for the movie Lilith directed by Sridhar Reddy and Assistant MakeUp artist for the movie Free Runner directed by Lawrence Silverstein. In July 2011 Bwalya was hired by Paramount Pictures and Nickelodeon to help with makeup for the movie FunSize staring Victoria Justice. A month later went on to work for Marvel Studios' The Avengers', where she worked with Oscar nominated MakeUp Artist John Blake. In March 2011, she worked with NYX Cosmetics at Style Fashion Week LA. In 2012 she taught Makeup classes in Lusaka Zambia.
Bwalya graduated from Brown Aveda Institute and is currently a licensed Managing Esthetician (specializing in Facials, Massage, Body Treatments, Waxing and Microdermabraision) Bwalya attended Jane Doe Academy in New York where she was certified in Basic and Bridal makeup application, as well as Airbrush application. She also learned HDTV makeup and Special FX: simulated injuries makeup. Bwalya also attended Christine Valmy in New York where she got certified as a Nail Technician.
Bwalya is currently working as a self employed traveling Esthetician and MakeUp Artist for Zedgirl MakeUp and is attending a Barbering School in New York.
