RODNEY KEITH FOLKERTS began his photographic journey in front of the camera as a professional model. Represented by such well-respected agencies as Elite Hommes, Fotogen , Flash and Topco, Rodney dove head first into print and commercial work, as well as runway modeling. Rodney's high-profile career took him from his native Atlanta, Georgia to such exotic locales as South Africa, Tokyo, Italy and most of Europe. With so much aesthetic and cultural stimulation, Rodney quickly and readily developed a keen sense of styling, posing and an understanding of the "art" of photographic lighting. Once he picked up a camera for the first time, his real passion was born. "I was amazed at how much I loved taking pictures - and how good I was at it," he says. "This hidden talent just appeared and I knew what I was meant to do." Armed with confidence, determination and an appetite for success, Rodney decided that a move to the artistic capital of the world - New York City - was necessary in order to take the photography world by storm. It was definitely the right choice: Rodney soon found his niche, and was quickly embraced as one of NYC's hottest, most sought-after talents.
