I'm right you are taking this serious. I'm sure that they do like the idea of you defending them. That's your call. But here's something to try to make sense of. The majority of these people know what these topics are about. Even the whiners. They come into them anyway taking the risk of getting upset about a not so difficult topic to predict.

Because even when someone's joking, in some instances they're really not joking and some people's feelings get hurt.  I'm not saying be PC and neutral all the time, but men and women have enough trouble with the opposite sex without someone making fun of their sexuality. 

As for shooting myself in the foot ... if you mean me offending other women, I'm friends with 2 women in the world ... one Domina and one submissive.  With photographers on here and losing work, I'm not concerned.
