most artists charge by the day or half day.  Newbies charge by the look, not established artists.

Charges vary depending on the job....commercial, editorial, portfolio development, they are all different.

Full day or half day.  I doubt you'll find a professional artist charging by look.

i think the only exception to the full day/ half day rule is when you are doing weddings. although i am sure that you can do either, i charge the bride and for each additional face- and wedding makeup is SOOO easy and its a good way to make some extra bucks in between jobs.
