Hey everyone. As we all know, everyone works real hard on technique. But how about the set used for the photo? As we all know, sometimes we come up blank on ideas for a set. So how about showing everyone some of your sets. And if it is something special then how about a little explanation along with it?

There's a couple of older threads on this topic, but it's underexplored (in my opinion). I haven't made any elaborate ones myself sad but have cobbled together some walls and alcoves.

The Lighting, Flash, Ring, & Battery Strobe Reference thread lists some of them in the Studio Props and Sets section.

You can see a couple of mine here:

The carpet is rolled up in front of the bedroom set ("french doors" behind the sheers), hay bales in brown muslin in front of barn wall. Both frames were built with 2x4s with wheels, so the whole wall could be moved. Not as portable as some of the examples others have offered, but I kept them set up as seen in the first image. Curtains were actually hung from the frame just as they would be in your house. I could change curtains anytime. Top half of the "barn door" actually opened - I could have had a model peering out from behind if I wanted.
Here's a couple of images on each of the two sets:

Fold out day bed covered by comforter. Window is not backlit in this example.

The basic brick wall is not really a set, but you can do some cool things with it:
