I like your approach with this! If you could help me think about my port so far with some questions I'd really appreciate it. Thank you! smile

I like.
Very well done and though you do not have height,
I would certainly consider you for a job if in your area.
(sorry would not make sense to fly you in.)

Don't YOU think (you decide) that you need a simple elegant shot of you with little to no makeup on.

Don't YOU think (you decide) that you need a simple elegant shot of you with natural makeup.  (different than no or tiny makeup)

Do you love, and yes, I mean love this presentation of these shots?

Do you think you could make a better action shot?

Think outdoors in the summer time, commercial.

I love this shot and presentation.

Nice, but does it seem real?
Do you like the fact that it appears to be a photoshoot and not reality or not a movie set?  To me a photoshoot appearence is different than a movie look.
A movie look is different than an appearence of cool, beautiful reality. Not harsh reality, but reality.

More later.

But that is a start for you.

Will get to others as I have time.

I'd love to hear what you think about my art nude shots in my port.
I want you to make me think!

I've been modelling since July last year - yet to do much work in other styles, but getting there!

Your time and advice is much appreciated.

la la la !

I would like an answer to this question to understand the shot better.
What is the purpose of the shot?
As an art nude, to show off your body, both, or something else?

No need to answer,
Just for you to think about.

Do you like the way various parts of the image fade into the background a bit?
The shoes, the top of the hair/head, the bottom of the dress, the back of the dress.

I understand this shot has meaning but I have forgotten the context of the meaning.

Does this bother you?
Is it your attempt to have the viewer understand the meaning outright or are you pleased/okay with the fact that everyone will not understand there is a meaning to the shot?

Personally, I have some shots (more complex shots, doubt any are here on MM) that have deeper complex meaning. One might need to be educated in a certain field or time period to understand the symbolism, and meaning of the shot or individual symbols.  This has been done by various artists and art movement throughout history, one time period that comes to mind is various parts of the Renaisance in Europe.

Is the ring on the finger part of that meaning?
Do the scares on the arm have a connection to the meaning of the shot that is unknown to various viewers?
Does the style of shoe have a connection to the meaning?
Is the dress part of the meaning?
Is the dress a ethnic or area specific dress?
Is the back of the dress that is not so visible but you can sense it part of the meaning?

I have checked the title of the image.
How important is the title to the image?

Many of my own shots are very connected to the titles,
though many novices would not understand the meanings of the titles.
I am usually fine with that.

Search engines such as Google has changed how titles are viewed today as a title can be searched quickly.  Though searches often do not give correct answers.

Is the meaning of the image, the meaning of the title?
Or is the meaning of the title just a clue to the meaning of the shot?

Should you have presented the title to me or are you happy to have me view without the title?

Are you happy that I recalled the image had a deeper meaning to you or did you wish that I would ask questions on the image as if I did not know that information?

These questions are for you to think about.
If you want to answer them here,
I might be able to respond but not sure, or it might take me some time.
And not sure what I would say to your answers.

I would like answers to these questions and then I can respond.

Why did you choose this image to present to me?

Is this shot finished?
Would you put show it to a client or hang it on a wall/museum?

Thank you those are wonderful questions.

One of the problems with symbolism, like satire, is over time the context fades and the conventions of symbolism change. This is something I'll think about.

It's dangerous to introduce flaws without a body of work demonstrating the necessary competence to convince viewers the flaws are purposeful.

Thank you very much!
