Nov 30 22 12:05 am Link Steeleye Span "Commoners Crown" LP. Most of the material on this is really only accessible to traditional music enthusiasts, but "New York Girls" is well known and features in movies with nautical themes such as Moby Dick (1956). Nov 30 22 06:49 am Link The Runaways "Live in Japan". This is often considered their best recording, it captures the band's raw power as a live act. The front cover is a photo of the five members wearing their Ciri fashion jumpsuits. Part of the problem of The Runaways was that while they were a rock band, their image was more of a pop band in some ways. Producer Kim Fowley also hired a dance teacher to choreograph their stage show. In the movie The Runaways, Joan Jett refers to Fowley using "Frankenstein" as an adjective. If Fowley was Frankenstein then The Runaways were his best known monster.
