Based on looking at my portfolio, would you shoot  with me?  Which 2-3 images would make you want to shoot with me and which 2-3 images would turn you off?  I will return the favor for your portfolio.

Just so you know, I'm really picky. I would have almost said yes to TF for you, solely based on image #1 in lifestyle and image #1 in portraits. They're my style, and they're well done. But the rest of those two albums don't impress me very much. I'm not a fan of your current avatar. If I were feeling impatient, I might have looked at just that and said no.

If I were to work with you, I'd probably ask for a small hourly rate, or wait until you work more on your lifestyle/portrait work and then see if we can TF.

These are images that don't help your portfolio, in my opinion:
https://www.modelmayhem.com/pic.php?pic … d=7342&ua=

https://www.modelmayhem.com/pic.php?pic … d=7348&ua= (as well as all other BW images where just one part is left in color, except for maybe #1 in your "artistic" album)

https://www.modelmayhem.com/pic.php?pic … d=7676&ua= (they're off-center and the colors have too much of an orange tint)

https://www.modelmayhem.com/pic.php?pic … d=7354&ua= (probably your worst-- not flattering at all)

Also, the fact that you have albums makes me kind of frustrated. It made me do more clicking than necessary. I also don't like titling anything "artistic," so if you do keep your albums, please try to come up with a different name for that one.

I love that your profile is very organized. Very long (and you can probably shorten it), but very easy to read. You actually have good spelling and punctuation, and for that, you get a gold star.

Thanks Lisa.

I kind of doubt that I would pay you to shoot with me as all of my shoots have been TF shoots.  As for shooting TF, I would be interested shooting trade with you as you have a different style and beauty than most models I have worked with.  As for my profile, I agree, I think its too long.  Interesting comment on the albums.  I never thought about that.  I usually use the view all link if a person has albums or more than one page.

I really like this image of yours.  The lighting is beautiful and your look is very sexy.  I also love the background as it really adds to the intrigue of the image.

I also really like this image. I think it might be a little too over exposed for my taste, but I really like the emotion that you express in this image.

Hello!

I just want to say that I enjoy the fact that you didn't start this thread with a very small body of work to look at. The one thing you have going for you is that you have worked with over 5 models.

Now, everyone has their own style and preference for the type of work they do...
But it is clear that you prefer to do a lot of nudes. There isn't really anything wrong with that... I definetly think that you could stand to diversify your work. I think you could be more creative. Try working with more wardrobe designers and make-up artists. Try shooting some fashion and trying to come up with more themed photo shoots. Try to come up with things that elicit emotion in your viewers.  Broaden your horizons...

I don't have many examples of photo shoots with stories, but that is what I am looking for at the moment. I am always thinking of stories to capture in a photo shoot. I love fashion and want to do more of that too. At this point, I won't work with photographers who just want to shoot another pretty photo of a pretty girl. I want MORE. I want to work with photographers who go the extra mile to really make a photo shoot a PROJECT. In the end, the goal is to get people to see your work, do a double take and it's gotta be interesting and emotional enough to hold their attention.

People see images of beautiful women all the time. Most of your work, while it is nice and technically good, didn't really hold my attention. It was good, but not "ahhh WOW"...

That being said, I would work with you, if I thought that you were willing to  brainstorm with me. I do a lot of TF work, and am willing to purchase incredible wardrobe items if the photographer compensates for the MUA. A lot of times, I bring my story to a photographer that I feel is kind of above my level of work. So far, it's working out because the ideas I bring to them have inspired them so much that they really want to work with me. I have a few photo shoots coming up that are from my mind's conjuring. One is with a photographer I would never have dreamed I'd have the chance to work with.

Perhaps you could spend some time really coming up with something and then finding the right model for the job.

I hope that helps you! smile

Thank you for your thoughtful critique.  I actually prefer to brainstorm and work creatively with the models I have worked with.  You seem like a rare breed.  Many of the models I have worked with are not all that interested in participating in the creative process.  You are right, I should spend some more time planning and creating a storyboard for a themed shoot.  I will also have to think about how I could be more creative in my images and broadening my horizons.  Thank you again for your thoughtfulness.

I really like this image as its absolutely beautiful!  Nice work.
