This was just a minor retouching job, but I wanted to see what you guys thought.  It was for the UC Davis Theatre & Dance department (I'm the production photographer).  One of our upcoming shows is "The Seagull", which is a period piece.  They wanted the publicity photos to have a film look with no "modern" distractions.  The only thing I changed with cloning was the strap on the parasol and the building in the background.

I kind of like the original better in terms of color. If I were you I'd add some subtle clouds in the background and enhance details and color locally.

I was going for that old film look where the greens are punched and skin tones are fairly cool.  Like this.

My biggest issue is the banister behind the couple. It doesn't look as though it comes from the era of the story.

A tighter crop and vignetting may help + a bit of grain, & desaturate.

Circa 1904 were B&W. Some of the "Photo Artist" were still around in which they made a "life drawing" and added color.
