Besides the fact that you obliterated her skin and that the color/vibe isn't even close...

You need to start with a shot more similar to his to start with, including the lighting.  Not everything is done in post.

Think of making a photograph like you're making soup or better yet, baking a cake.  You need all the ingredients in the right proportion.

Start by dissecting his photography and then go about emulating that.  Once you've done that, then go about figuring out how to emulate his post work.  This is the only real way to do it.  And you can do it, you just need to think about it and put in the work.

You are headed in a good direction. The skin is too blurred though.  D&B slightly
