My garden is going wild this year. I last week I had to buy 8' plant spikes to prop up my tomato plants, and this week I just had to find supports for a bunch more branches. I even tethered on branch to a convienient hanging basket! I guess the high heat and lots of rain is making for a perfect growing climate.

In other news, the ghost-pepper plant I brought in over the winter is going crazy as well. It's more a bush now than a plant, with about 40 or so pods in various states of development.

And weeds and mint everywhere. I need two days off to clear away unwanted growth.

They spurt sometimes.

I don't plan on doing the backyard gardening until next year.  Still deciding what exactly I want to grow.

I mainly grow peppers. Ghost, Fatali, Fish, Hatch and a lone jalepano are in the ground.

Im getting 2-3 ripe tomatoes a day from the plants now. I'm almost afraid to eat them, but holy hell do the smell good.

They were! Going to grab some fresh motzzerella from the store and pick some fresh basil then do the quick motzzerella / tomato / basil salad with a drizzle of balsamic. Mmmmmm.

Mine are only about 5' tall, with lots of Tomatos but no ripe ones yet. Hoping for this week, and plenty of Basil on my plants. Summer is great eating.
