I know, most of you probably don't even know/remember who I am, but I feel compelled to ask this question.
For the last few weeks, I've been bombarded with friend requests from "retouchers" from Russia, Kiev, or wherever. I've accepted a few of them, but I wonder where this is coming from.
I haven't shot a single frame in 5 years (modeling stuff, at least) and suddenly I'm every retoucher's friend? I can do my own shit, TYVM.

Yeah, it seems like Russia, and also the Ukraine have quite a cottage industry going with retouching, these days.  They also can't apparently read, either.  I make it clear in my profile that I have no use for retouchers, or any intent of accepting friend requests from them.

Yep, mostly Ukrainian in my inbox/friend request box.
I just ignore them as I'm mostly inactive on MM as well.

I ignore their requests as well. I'd rather hear from models wanting paid shoots. wink

I love it when they praise your portfolio then offer their services. After I declined politely they respond saying "oh sorry I thought you were a professional". I just blocked them for my own peace of mind.

I know a model who is a good retoucher.  If I need retouching done I will work with her.

I have twenty-two retoucher friend requests pending right now. I hope they are not the type to hold their breath...

Maybe they've been laid off as election hackers/trolls? Or they mistakenly believe MM has political influence? (or any kind of influence).

Or they just like to look at photos of scantily clad models?
