Ten years on MM next month! I would love a little attention and some critique for my port. I was a hopeful professional when I joined 10 years ago, and I'd like to know if I am now a hopeless amateur.

Cheers

well then I'll tell you what you already know.  I glanced at your first page and they all look great to me.. so you haven't become senile and a has been, just yet.. but check back in another ten years and we'll reevaluate your performance again.. lol

Honestly I think people will avoid looking at this due to your "name" - and how does it manage to attract models I wonder?  lol

The work looks good.  Hopeless?  I think you have self fulfilling aspirations - so- where will you go?  :-)

I'd like to see a link to an external portfolio website for better viewing.

Do you see the difference in the skin color between these two photos? White balance is a critical element in photography.

Do you see the difference in the posing between these two photos, in one you have the models body quite square to the camera, the other is on an angle adding elegant dynamics?

This is very good on many levels
[Some possible changes, want to really enhance the “S” curve going through her spine, reverse the shoulders, that is lower models left shoulder and lift right, then reverse tilt of head. Using different lighting setup you could reduce or eliminate shadow on neck.
Models right upper arm is in shadow, moving it out to her side more and a bit forward could help].

This is a great image, only change would be to remove “gutter” the space between models right shoulder and photo border. The why, because you have the open space the viewers eyes will follow that open space and flow down and off the photo. To help keep their attention on the model in the photo simply close up that gap, either by cropping or posing models arms so they are off to side a bit.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, I wish you well

Twelve year member here.  You have very clean and well edited images.  You have more studio images and far less location stuff, with somewhat of an abundance of head and shoulder shots.  You need to venture out and shoot more location and full body stuff.  Far more location variety would benefit your port... wink
