Hi all! I took some shots with a friend who's still learning how to shoot models. I chopped 8 inches of my hair off a couple months ago, and haven't shot in a while, so we collaborated. I'm pretty happy with how they came out, but of course would love any and all critique/comments. https://www.modelmayhem.com/portfolio/2010240/viewall Thanks guys. Hope everyone's well! Everything else in there works for me. A few full length shots would be nice, maybe dressed up in a full length gown if you have one. A few bikini shots if you are into those, athletic wear, casual jeans, etc.. You have a good look for this. For the up and coming photog, play with the lighting more. Figure out how to set the mood with the different lighting patterns. Study other photogs and how they light images that are similar to what you are looking to do. YouTube is a cheap way to get some reference material on how to setup lighting. Another piece would be to experiment with depth-of-field to make the backgrounds not quite so clear and move the focus back to the model. The experimenting with the compositions is great, keep it up! My 2 cents!!! Oct 22 20 02:04 pm Link Amanda_G wrote: I think You have a great look and imo should seek more experienced talent to collaborate with. Not particularly flattering to you. I'm sure you can do much better with a better photographer. Consider approaching beauty photographers. . .The latest batch doesn't really help show your power. Oct 30 20 12:09 am Link One good thing I will say, is that at least the photographer tried to give the images some mood and made an effort with the posing, as opposed to the typical "Make a fist and hold it under your chin, then look down your shoulder and look sad..." They're kind of flat though, as far a exposure and contrast go, so the mood is lost by this. They're also composed and cropped poorly, so they don't flow well. Nov 01 20 01:24 am Link |
