Hopefully not FL  .  .  .  although looking at the state of current affairs around the world, I'm not sure how long a lot of people's memories are!

As time marches on that war becomes just another chapter in a history book for many.

But time cannot change the fact that the brave souls who crossed that beach on June 6th forever altered history, that day provided a clear message that good men could triumph over evil.

Several of my uncles entered the war in Europe across those beaches, we were blessed, they all came home, raised families and lived long lives. We should NEVER forget the sacrifices of so very many that didnt get that chance.

What does this have to do with COVID, Ukraine, or certain Black Lives Matter?

I was in the US Army - I cannot imagine the courage, the insanity, the stupidity, and the will to perform such a maneuver.

End the war with Yemen, end the war in Ukraine. War is always evil. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UC9pc4U40sI

Let us never enjoy, or suffer, such an invasion again.

Sounds like 1967 again - when I joined thousands surrounding the Pentagon for the purpose of levitating it, exorcising evil in the building, and ending the Vietnam War. Guess what - that didn't work. The war went on for eight more years. The invasion of Normandy (which, BTW, no one "enjoyed") ended the Second World War in Europe one year later.

Oh, and FYI, the name of the Forum is "Off-Topic Discussions."
