Be very careful about believing some of the claims, in this particular case.

1) The law MAY not be signed into law, for a number of problematic reasons.

2) The law does NOT require this (very scary) "facial recognition" system, despite the impression being left by techdirt.com.  If passed, it DOES require better checks (age related survey questions, etc) to screen out kids for adult content websites, or adult only areas of websites.

I am NOT suggesting that there might not be real problems with this law, as currently written.  There are.  Which is why the current push that the Governor should veto it.  And should a website decide to use facial recognition as their particular solution for adult content, then that would disturb me.  But none of these are a "given".
