I didnt even know there were wedding agencies. (Guess because I never thought about doing weddings much.) I think if thats what you want to do (and you WILL make money there) then go for it. Couldnt hurt.

Hi Charley,

I was approached by some 'wedding agencies' who wanted me on their books.  It ended up that I would earn about £30 for each makeover - while the company made at least that and a bit more.  You also have to wait to invoice them on a monthly basis, so it's not really easy money.  I had some conversations with some of these 'agencies' on the phone, and laughed out loud at what they were 'offering' me.

Best to go freelance - advertise locally or get friendly with your local hair & beauty salons where you can leave your business cards.  (Remember you can't advertise with your portfolio pics)  Word of mouth is one of the best ways.  Also talk to local wedding photographers and see if you can leave your business cards with them too.

Best of luck!
