Help out an aspiring model,

to quote the joker
"where do you get all those wonderful toys?"
(and yes, I know he says "does he")

In this case, I mean custom made clothes.

Latex, rubber, and leather, oh my!

I can't just go into a boutique and buy it (you can't do that with the high quality stuff anyway) because of my measurements.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

you'll find that if you ask and link your model profile, obviously most of them will do specific measurements (mostly the second and fourth) you can also get a model discount

I live in Austin and there are a couple of great stores that I use: La Rouge, Tabu, 365, and Cindy's.  I am a frequent at La Rouge and they can special order anything you want, it only takes 3 days for most of the stuff to come in and they have massive catalogs for you to dig through.

If you can afford it,  latex is the big thing right now.

POLYMORPHE (www.polymorphe.com)  is amongst the best brands around, along with VEX and LIBIDEX

Latex is seriously crossing over from the fetish to the mainstream arena...  we shot this 2 weeks ago for a global campain.

Everything listed above is great! Personally I'm a huge supporter of Polymorphe, my favorite catsuit is one of theirs and oh my it fits like none other!

Here are a few others that I like to browse occasionally:

http://www.fiercecouture.com
http://www.prettypervy.com
http://www.libidex.co.uk
http://www.skintwoclothing.com

And for anyone looking to learn more about latex here is a great site to take a peek at: http://www.lustlovelatex.com/wiki/index.php/Main_Page

As far as leather goes I've never been that impressed by what I've seen online or elsewhere for that matter. So I started making my own leather work. I lucked out as my boyfriend worked at the local bondage shop, so when they went under we got the leather sewing machine, all of the tools and some patterns. I haven't gotten into making too much stuff for other people as of yet but if you have something you can't find online in mind, send me a message.

I hadn't heard about it actually. If I had known I probably would of been tripping over myself to be part of it!

Being in Alberta it's pretty hard to find out about most of the fabulous things going on until they are all over. I would love to be more in the loop.

I was planning on it actually. However I found out a little while ago that I'm expecting, and the Fetish weekend falls on the start of my 6th month and I read you're not suppose to fly past 6 months. I'm going to confirm with the doctors at my next appointment, but I have a feeling that it's just not gonna happen this year.

But I can guarantee that I'll be at the one next year. ^_^

Hummm.... ok, so #1 Congrads...and #2, that sucks!    hey,  Montreal isn't going anywhere (unless harper nukes us) and we'll be a perverted next year as we are right now...even a bit more maybe!

I buy most of my latex pieces from Vesperi as she's able to take my crazy whims and translate them into magnificent designs.  She does also design and sell a line through the Liberator company.  The Liberator link:  http://www.liberator.com/products_lingerie_latex.php

Marvelous Mayhem is pretty good, though they aren't the only ones.

www.passionalboutique.com has a WIDE selection of really amazing clothes.
www.deliciouscorsets.com is also has really nice corsets custom made.

Any of the vendors listed here: http://www.the-crucible.com/LF%26P.htm are good quality vendors.

You could also browse among the local designers in your area. You never know what you will find. I'm getting an evening dress made asian styled with a matching corset. And I can't wait to get it. I was pleasantly surprised that most of his stuff was pretty much conventional, he was most willing to tackle a project that was out of his norm. Yes, it's expensive, but custom made always has been and I was willing to try him out and give him a chance. Sure... it's risky, but the most I would lose is more money to buy another dress. lol.

Really? I've been drooling over the Jane Doe stuff for awhile now, maybe I should ask so I can stop debating between pieces and get both.

I flew up to the beginning of my 8th month, but yeah, they'd (doctors) would rather err on the side of extreme caution lest you bring a malpractice suit against them for "bad" advice.

Most ALL of the quality latex shops will offer made to measure or custom designed pieces. very FEW will offer a model discount.
why would they? what are they getting out of it?

i believe i mentioned it in this thread i started some time ago on fetish model advice
https://modelmayhem.com/p.php?thread_id=37910

it might be a bunch to read, but getting latex from designers is mentioned in the 2nd big rant/post ;-)

---

and, i've posted this before in other threads asking where to find latex:
this is list of latex designers (the ones i know or have had dealings with to a certain extent)
http://kumimonster.livejournal.com/640284.html

---
and
house of whacks out of chicago is going out of business.
(44% off sale!)

i'm a latex snob though.
so no HoW in my collection.

but you might find something worth getting for yourself there.

yeah, her leather stuff is pretty darn nice. Someday I'll have the leather corset with the locking buckles all the way down the front... SOmeday smile

At our leather fleamarket twice a year, there are probably 4 or 5 corset vendors, and all of them have good quality items. Our local fetish shop used to carry her stuff, dunno if they still do though, I can't remember...

Also, Catherine Coatney is a clothing vendor who definately has a fetish flare to her clothing. It is all really well made, and nice stuff, though often expensive. Don't know where you could find her stuff, but I know it is out there. The local shop in my area, www.chaineddesires.com carries her stuff, and I have several very nice unique pieces (including that hot little red skirt that I have to find a top to go with...... Hmm........)
