March 12, 2015 9:07am A fitting tribute to not only Alfred Eisenstaedt (the photographer of the original 1945 photo that become an icon of the joy felt at the end of WWll), but also a fitting tribute to the sailor, Glenn McDuffie, who died of natural causes, in March of 2014, at the age of 86. The nurse in the original image is Greta Zimmer Friedman, who is still alive.
All three would appreciate this image. I like it a lot!
