He owns a magazine? Can I get it at a bookstore? What does that have to do with being a good photographer?

Loveless_Neko wrote: Hes getting all of his pics from www.tighteditimages.com Actually the site does have his name on it, and the same bad "effects" his other two linked sites do. But Sean, if you're going to claim to have "shot" famous people, that generally means you had a PRIVATE session with them...not that you paparrazi'd them at some concert or on the red carpet. If that's the case, I've "shot" famous people too. As a matter of fact, Dave Navarro was at a porn convention last weekend and I took pictures of him. But you'll never see me claiming anything beyond that... Sad really...

based on what you have presented: Tight Edit and your MM port I'd hire you has an event photographer but not for a model shoot

You want Red Hot Chili Peppers? Go here or maybe you already did? Then give it a rest. I've been watching MSNBC, they've been discussing Ann Coulter (regarding her insult to Elizabeth Edwards), and I'm wondering if she has a brother in CA.... Andy Pearlman

Hey all... I think we need to see what is really happening here and give this guy a break....yeah, we can mention some names here, but I think the joke is on the rest of the thread's responses. How can anyone think that this is for real... And too bad for the OP if it really is, really too bad. But I've seen worse. At least the OP is working and trying to make a living, although by the type of photos shown, I can understand the lack of grammer and the attitude. So choke one up for style, even though most of us find it offensive or poor, it's their art and no matter how bad or how one speaks out, MM will always behave in a Street Corner Society, kind of manner. Why do we add to it... are we being made fun of... does this OP really care what we do anyway... I think not, since if they did, their images would reflect a more common ground...but that's not what they are about. We gave the OP exactly what they wanted... and that is exactly the kind of photographer it takes to shoot the stuff they do. I am glad I don't, but I won't turn away from veiwing it and make my own choice as to whether I find in attractive or not. And yes it's a bit sad that we have to communicate with attitude from a distance and not be able to share a beer and listen to the stories we all have. To the OP... hey we all work and make money, some more then others, but if we are happy with what we do... who cares. Besides, never brag about how much you make...only about how much you love what you do. with kindness, PixelFisher

This site is called ModelMayhem. Not ConcertMayhem or ParadeMayhem or EventMayhem. Even if this was a site dedicated just to concert photography, I wouldn't say they're the best I've ever seen.... and the stripper pole images are just... WOW.

In that case, I can say that I've shot: NO DOUBT, KISS, SMASHING PUMPKINS, ANTHRAX, SLAYER, CHEAP TRICK, BEASTIE BOYS, BJORK etc. because I've either fought my way to the front, or finagaled a press pass (an art in itself). An example of someone who's getting real 'face-time' with musicians is Marc Goldstien: https://www.modelmayhem.com/member.php?id=166412

Okay, I think I've got it. Someone posted a thread in one of the forums earlier this week...but I can't seem to find it now...about how newbies could get bonus points if they had under 100 posts, started a stupid thread and got over 200 responses - or something to that effect. I believe Sean took that thread seriously.
