Post to an image or to your profile and I will ask you a question to ask yourself. Possibly more critique added. And really only if I feel like it. The questions, I ask you, are for pondering in your own mind. I am not really looking for a full dialogue on what I state. PS. I am not looking for a critique at this time Thanks though.

Good job. What do you think it needs to achieve a level of greatness in regards to being a great pinup? How do you think it compares with great pinups? Do you feel you are bringing anything new to the table here? I believe if you address these and other points with yourself, You will go forward.

Okay, Very good and different version of the before and after shot/work. Understand that to many, the before and after shot is not needed. What can you do to make it even better? What can you do to have an art director or Client say Wow, that is great? Will this be achieved both in print and web versions? Will the work translate equally to various forms, web, photo print, to print if need be? What can you do or experiments you can undertake to try to push the attempt here? Summary, Push it, and do not be afraid to fail at the next attempts. Maybe you might surprise us and yourself.

Is it just me or do you see some of the foot prints on the background? Is this something you wanted? Is it something you like or dislike? I assume you are attempting to achieve, what we call "art". Do you feel it does? Do you feel the lighting is the best it can be? I feel you have achieved a shot that can be pondered with the pose and lighting. But I might mean something different than another or what you intended it to mean. If this were going to be one of the images that you were remembered by, Would you be pleased or want to reshoot it? You lose the light as an outline on the lower back and then pick it up again. Do you like this? Is it what you wanted? Do you feel it adds or takes away from the shot?

I want to include a print of this in a group exhibition next month, so I will spend some more time cleaning up marks on the background paper and perhaps tweaking the curves in Photoshop. I plan to shoot more "art nudes" like this, so I will try to study the nuances of the lighting even more when I do further shots. To me, the lighting on the fingers, breast and hip are some key points of interest in this photo, but I hadn't paid much attention to the lost outline of her back, which kind of separates the top and bottom halves of her torso. Hmmm.... Thanks for your insight.

Elaine Ford wrote: See above for image, Not many questions on my mind about this image or your images. More of a straight critique here for you. Much of what I have to state here will be truly my personal opinion, not that it all is not. I simply believe you need a shot similar to this one, without much makeup, more simplier without the big hair. Don't you think we need to see what you look like? A more basic version without the bells and whistles. I do think you achieve it here or seem to. I would like to see something even more basic and to edit down the new images put up that are similar to the one you posted. Also believe some more commerical images and better arrangement of the photos. This can be done even without making folders, which I am not sure work all the time. You have a good portfolio, that addresses what you do and this needs/traffic of this site. I think you need to tighten it up, and pay more attention to each image chosen and the placement of them within the portfolio.

Willing to respond to your answer with more questions/opinion You currently have 20 images. Rank your own images 1 to 20 of what you feel is the best shot. Simply the best shot, not emotional attachment to the image as sometimes the simplest shots are the better than shots we worked very hard on. Then give me the full list if you have time, or at least just the number of ranking of this shot presented. And simply, Why did you ask me to review this shot and not another one? Is it the newest? or something else? I want to know and then will respond back, when I have time.

Will respond to your answer. How would you define the type/category of image you feel this fits into? By type/category, I mean fashion, commerical, portrait, sports, humor, and/or a combination of any term you choose. You can use any term you wish to define the type/category/style of image. But want to know what you were trying to achieve.

Lovely, lovely shot. Your hair looks as if is a light golden silk only known to stories of mythology. Not much to say or ask here except, I think your polaroid shot, while great to have, and most make the mistake of not having, could be improved. https://www.modelmayhem.com/pic.php?pic … up_id=&ua= And I believe you like this shot because it is recent. Recent does not always mean fitting to ones portfolio or better. https://www.modelmayhem.com/pic.php?pic … up_id=&ua= I believe you removed shots that were better recently. Maybe wrong. Those are my thoughts. Don't you think questions? (just for you think over.) That you need a shot that shows your body more and in a better way. Not much full length there. Not talking nudes but seems you have a great shape. Those picking you for photo shoots/jobs want to know/see this in your photos. Your polaroid type shots gets close but believe you need a commerical or fashion type shot showing off your body and movement. You do state it here. Mostly Interested in: *Fashion *Lingerie/bikini(not my main focus though) *Editorial *Beauty And I am very desperate for some Body Shots!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes, get some body shots. Both fashion style and commercial, leaning more towards the commercial side. I would suggest a sports related shot or beach shot. But sports related in a commercial sense seems to be a wise move. I would add a commercial style lingerie shot also. Your flicker body shots are not all that strong but would move one over here until you can replace it. Why only 8 images here? Sometimes less is more, but sometimes more is more. You have some great images over at Flicker. Not sure why you are limiting your images here. Bring it up to at least 12 images. Just my thoughts. Beautiful images. Are the best images you have, the best to have to get you work as a model? (For you to ask yourself and know your own market.)

Why that crop? What not tighter, why not wider, why at an angle? Why the strong colors used? Why the strong black eyebrows?

Why that color of background? What is she looking at and why? Do you want us to know or just think about it? She is not looking at herself. Do you and she like the hair? Not just the top but the whole thing? Do you like the right hand glove, and how it is presented? Do you like the left hand glove? ( I prefer the left to the right, the right hand bothers me.) Why the brush on the seat? Do you still like it there now? Do you feel the pants/bottoms was the best choice for this photo? Do you like it when you see it as an avatar, do you like it when viewed large? Do you really like the pinning/hooking of the corset? Is that on purpose to appear that way or forgot about it? Would you fix it in Pshop or leave it?

What do you think of when you hear the word Blue? What meaning are you trying to state here? Are you stating a meaning or just color? Do you like the way the dress appears in the shot, especially the middle one? Bracelet? Why is she pearing through the material in the middle shot? Does that have meaning or if not then why do it? Is this the best shot for an avatar? Blue makeup is always risky. Do you think you passed, failed, succeded or so so at it? IF it is about blue then why the grey background? Why no tint of blue in one of the lights or more?
